The frustration

The frustration of dealing with these people is getting to my head. I keep thinking about the problem when I try calm myself from them.

I have thoughts of exacting revenge and giving their own medicine. I know that I shouldn’t do it and I won’t do it. The proper choice here is to be a bigger person and learn from their perspective and understand them.

The more we are emotional towards are line of thinking. We would be more irrational, therefore, it is important to have a cool head.

How to keep a cool head?

When they tease you or degrade you. The best course of action is to accept indifferently. You don’t have to deny it since it will just cause further distractions and annoyance. Accepting it and moving on is the right choice since it would extinguish the anger. From their side but not from you. Be the bigger person and take initiative to control the situation.

If they call you stupid. You respond, “Yessir, I’m stupid.“. Responding in this manner would allow you to not take the insult personally. It’s best to only do this when you have a strong sense of identity. Remember that you know what you are and don’t let others dictate your identity for you.

Recognize that you’re thoughts are fleeting. Yet, if you just let them go, they would just come back. So, I suggest you to write those negative thoughts down. It’s not really important to write them down but it’s important to let them out in a non-destructive manner.

When you’re confronting the person again, it’s best to keep neutral tone and neutral voice. Since both parties are irritated towards each other. Acting as if nothing happens may wind you up to further arguments that would waste your time. However, if they act in the as if nothing happens, be the bigger person and proceed as normal.

Every emotional lapse can cause us to think irrationally. Be it love, joy, anger, sadness, etc. Let’s just remember to take a step back and express your thoughts in a proper manner.
