Yesterday, I had an incredible workout.
I was doing deadlifts, overhead presses, and dumbbell rows.
After the workout, I felt so strong compared to the workout days.
Usually, when I’m done doing my lifts I bring back the plates I used — like a decent human being.
But, I was so happy that I was carelessly lifting the weights up.
One of the weights slipped out — a 1.25kg plate.
I panicked when I felt the weight slip, afraid that I might destroy the floor.
As if on reflex, I kicked my left leg backwards to soften the plate’s landing.
Instead of hitting my calf, which I was hoping for, it hit my ankle hard instead.
A loud thud came from the plate.
I looked back and looked at the floor.
No scratches.
I breathed out a sigh of relief.
However, my ankle was in pain. Regardless, I returned the plate and sat on a chair.
I looked back at my ankle. I mean it was okay. It doesn’t hurt that bad.
But, the next day, my ankle was really sore.
I tried doing a squat, but I back out when doing a squat.
So, that’s it. I can’t do any exercises that has to do with ankles for a week.
Great.
My stupidity never ceases to amaze me. It’s always on point with these stupid accidents.
Well, what can I do?
You live and you learn.
