When I want to read something new, I l always looked something reasonable that has a hardworking and logical main character.
Often times, I do get these stories and most of the time they bore me. Not necessarily because they are bad, but it’s because of me.
Although I have this need and craving for well-developed character as the story progress, I find myself going back to overpowered characters that gains their powers and abilities through the power of bullshit plot armor.
I never really liked those stories, but those stories are far more exciting.
You see, there’s a contradiction here.
Although I crave for a well-developed story that goes one step at a time, I find it boring since it reminds me of the daily grind and struggles of real life.
What is fiction for? It’s exactly what it is. Fiction.
A world of imagination that can be used as an escape or relaxation to the heavy stresses of work.
It’s something that you can immerse yourself in without worries.
When fiction reminds you of the boring parts of real life (I believe real life is exciting don’t get me wrong!), it’s kinda boring to read.
Sometimes those boring parts are the real important part of the story.
You know what’s going to happen since it’s an ingrained routine.
Work hard, get better. Get stronger through practice. Consistency is key. The mother of learning is to repetition. All of that shit.
Damn, just thinking about it is tiring. I mean that depends on the mood, right? I do get inspired sometimes.
I know that not all stories are like that. I know that and I encountered and love those stories!
But, it’s soo hard to find them. I’m willing to read through everything till half, before I quit.
I just want to find the good stuff and find a world that I can immerse myself in.
