The Internet-depended Mind

I’ll be honest. I’m extremely dependent on the internet.

It’s the reason why I can do my work, entertain myself, and express myself.

Possibilities are endless with the internet, but I already know deep down that though there are so many possibilities and opportunities this space gives it brought me to depressing times as well.

The internet made it easier for me to coast around, do nothing, compare myself to others, and I had enough of that.

So for the past few weeks, I’ve consciously used the internet and life has been better since.

It feels better, refreshing, and… liberating that the internet is slowly losing its grip over my happiness.

Why am I writing this?

It’s written as a reminder to myself that I should always make time in the day for myself to disconnect from everything and be present with my life without the internet.

Disconnecting and focusing on what can be done today with my present self is better than most relaxing activities that were ever conceived during times the internet is booming.
