The main I look up to the most is my uncle.
He worked his ass off back in my country, and migrated when he had the chance. Living off barely an allowance, he made his way to become a practitioner in the medical field to finally settling into a life in the academe.
This person was my inspiration not only because of his attitude towards life and education, he supported my family and I when we were having troubles financially.
He helped us out when we had family feuds and always took the sides of the kids, protecting us from those who hurt us.
Eventually, when our family was in rough shape, I didn’t want to do anything with my life anymore.
He reached out and told me to continue studying and will pan out in time. So, he sponsored my education, gave me enough resources to work with, and eventually I graduated.
During that time period, he was the one I approached for life advice, career moves, and my whole being in general.
I owe a lot to this man, and I only hope I can repay him.
