Learning from Writing Prompts?!

So, this would be the beginning of my literature review as I planned on SSW Doc #2. It’s going to be simple since I don’t know if I’m able to be consistent in these reviews. Well, let’s get to it.

If I were honest, the prompt is not something that I’m really interested in, but it sounded fun. So, I decided to read some of the entries there just to learn how some people write their prose.

Here’s the entry that I found interesting.

Seradwen’s Entry

At first, I really don’t know how to feel about this one. It really isn’t a short story that’s typically seen on the subreddit, but it’s more of an essay.

It literally sounds like a research paper like the prompt indicated, so it was kind of hard to get into at the beginning.

But, it was really good. The prose read like a well-researched paper that a young historian managed to make in a couple of weeks.

It’s not heavily detailed, and it was just right.

I guess I could use this piece as an inspiration for better POVs for characters related to science.
